EVANGELIST & WOMEN'S MINISTRY LEADER (RIVERSIDE)
Sergio and Kristin Arguello serve as Evangelist and Women’s Ministry Leader for the Riverside Church. The Arguellos have served in the full time ministry in Los Angeles, Chattanooga, and Riverside and have also served various specialized and family ministries in the U.S., South and Central America and Russia. They have 3 children: Nicolas(19), Nathan(16), and Ashley(12). Sergio holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Kristin holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies / education. The Arguellos have lived in the Woodcrest area of Riverside for the last 5 years. Fun facts: Sergio is known to be a taco connoisseur. Kristin and all their friends benefit from his gift. Kristin brings calm to the Arguello family.
SCOTT & DANIELLE SWEENEY
EVANGELIST & WOMEN'S MINISTRY LEADER (DESERT CITIES)
Scott and Danielle have served in the full-time ministry for over 25 years. Scott grew up in South Florida and graduated with a BA in Sociology and played football while attending Harvard University. Danielle was raised in Southern CA, and even spent some of her childhood in the Coachella Valley, before graduating from Boston College with a BA in Communications. After serving for several years in campus ministry in Boston, Scott and Danielle planted our sister church in Burlington, VT where they were married in 1996. Since then, they have graduated from the New England School of Ministry and served in our churches in Hartford, CT and Orange County, CA before moving to the Desert Cities Church of Christ in 2014. They love the closeness of the church here, and are inspired to teach others to live out their dreams by living for God!
NELSON & CAROLINA BARRETO
EVANGELIST & WOMEN'S MINISTRY LEADER (RANCHO CUCAMONGA)
Nelson and Carolina Barreto serve as Evangelist and Women’s Ministry Leader here in the Inland Empire Rancho Cucamonga Church. They have been missionaries in South America for over 10 years. The Barretos have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, Gabriela and Anabelle, who are 16 and 14 years old. They have seen great miracles as many of their family members have been converted. The Holy Spirit has led them to serve in all different types of ministries like Teens, Campus, Singles, and Marrieds. In each of them, God has used them to bring souls to Christ building the body in the United States and abroad. They treasure friendships and relationships. They believe that through love and humility we can be united as Jesus prayed in John 17:20-23 so the whole world comes to know our Lord Jesus Christ.
KRISTIAN & LOIS LUMOWAH
YOUTH & FAMILY MINISTERS (RIVERSIDE)
Kris and Lois Lumowah currently serve in the Youth and Family Ministry for the Riverside Church. Both Kris and Lois were leaders in the Campus Ministry at CSUSB and UCR and received Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Liberal Arts respectively. Not only do they have extensive experience as leaders in the Church, but also as educators for both general-ed and special-ed students. The Lumowah’s share a common goal to minister and love today’s youth in any capacity God leads them to. During their free-time Kris enjoys playing the drums and exploring new “foodie” restaurants to try, and Lois enjoys going on walks and completing “DIY home-projects”!
ROY & ALICIA GONZALEZ
YOUTH & FAMILY MINISTERS & WORSHIP LEADER (DESERT CITIES)
Roy and Alicia Gonzalez proudly serve the Youth and Family Ministry for the Desert Cities Church. Previously, they both served as Campus Ministers for the Riverside Church overseeing both UCR and RCC. Roy graduated with a Bachelors in Public Policy and Alicia graduated with a degree in Communications. Both have procured experience with the youth professionally and value the process of how the church can elevate their growth as individuals. The Gonzalezes are fired up and ready to see God provide many victories in Desert Cities and will go wherever He leads them. Roy enjoys learning new practical life skills and leading worship, and Alicia loves event planning, trying new coffee shops, and seeing/making things beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.
MIKHAIL KREVOSKY
PART-TIME CAMPUS & SINGLES MINISTER (DESERT CITIES)
Mikhail grew up in the greater Boston area where he earned his M. Ed. at Merrimack College in Higher Education. After 2 years in the singles ministry in Boston Mikhail moved to Daytona Beach Florida where he was an active contributor to the campus and singles ministry. Mikhail loves warm weather and is grateful to be in Palm Desert where he can be active outdoors from hiking to playing all sports especially soccer. Mikhail has a passion to teach the next generation how awe-inspiring Jesus truly is.
